Our history

It took generations to learn the Perfect process.

The story of Perfect Vodka begins in 1864. In this year, the Peureaux and Baud families joined together to create the Grandes Distilleries Peureaux in Fougerolles, a small community in east-central France.

Using a method that has become known as “Eau de Vie” (or, “water of life”) the Distillery began the tradition of making an exceptional cherry brandy that has been enjoyed around the world for over 150 years.

This method of Eau de Vie has been passed down across four generations and is now utilized by Master Distiller Bernard Baud.

In 2004 Mr. Baud was approached by an American group interested in producing a French-made Vodka. At first, Mr. Baud refused. But then he saw an opportunity.

He asked himself, “What can I do that others cannot?” He knew he could make a vodka in a new way, using a method that no other brand had knowledge of. This was the method that his family had developed across 150 years as Master Distillers.

He had one condition.

I must bring something unique to this product. I must make it perfect
— Bernard Baud, master distiller

The experiment was underway.

Using wheat from the Brie-Champagne region (the finest in the world) and the pure waters from the Vosges, Mr. Baud applied his know-how to the distillation process. The vodka was distilled. The head and tail of the batch was removed, leaving only the “heart” to be bottled. Then, it was aged for a year.

The results were fantastic.

The name of the vodka would make itself known at the first tasting: it was, simply put… Perfect.

Every drop of our vodka is ultra smooth - the product of one family’s quest for quality and a singular passion for luxury that can be tasted in each sip.

Perfect is not a miracle, it’s mastery
— Bernard Baud, master distiller

Perfect Vodka is made in small batches and blended to guarantee consistency in both quality and taste.
